about

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m a bookdragon studying Latin and Greek. I spend my days translating & writing essays, but in the rare event that I have free time, I am fond of hymn-singing, poetry-reading and -writing, snail mail, good books, and indie folk music. I’m an incurable romantic, a recovering procrastinator, and a Michigan girl whose heart belongs up north. I will gladly talk to you for hours about theology, philosophy, obscure novels, and a lot of other things.

I used to use this blog as more of an author platform, but now it serves as a place to share anything I write and want to share — which makes it very eclectic and disorganized, but I like it, and I hope you’ll stick around.

You can contact me at mayajoelleauthor@gmail.com if you have questions or comments! I’m glad you stopped by. Welcome to the woods. Come with me; let’s go gaily in the dark.

P.S. I used to have a different blog, known under variations of the name “Maya Joelle,” which is currently private as I figure out what I’m doing with it! If you follow me here I will give you permission to follow me there and browse the archives. Most of my blogging history exists there, since this site has only been around for a couple of years.
